Marula Festival 2011-A Success Story For Limpopo

Limpopo Marula Festival 2011The Town of Phalaborwa was abuzz with visitors from all over the country and beyond for 2011 Marula Festival that took place from 19-26 February 2011. The town with its 1233 beds, was fully booked whereas Hoedspruit, Kruger National Park and Tzaneen also received an over-flow of bookings on the last two days of the festival (i.e. 25th & 26th February 2011).

St Stithians College Developing An Outdoor Education Facility

St Stithians College is developing a 500 hectare farm in the Waterberg (outside Modimolle), as an Outdoor Education facility, which will be known as the Kamoka Bush School.

Kamoka will be used throughout the year and will cater for learners of varying ages from the College. These camps will range from 2 to 28 night experiences.

Limpopo Tourism and Parks Attends The International Trade Show In Germany

The LTP attended the ITB trade show in Berlin, Germany from the 7-14/03/2011. In attendance at this august show was Zanami Lodge who are the hope of Limpopo for wining this year’s ETEYA at Indaba in Durban. All the 9 provinces of the country attended to showcase their offerings.

The LTP was represented by the CEO, Mr. Rob Tooley and Senior Manager: Destination Development, Mr. Xolani Mthethwa.

Limpopo Tourism and Parks Officially Launches Its Building To The Public

Limpopo Tourism and Parks officially launched its newly built offices to the public on the 15th April 2011.

The LTP has previously been operating from two different offices which was very costly for the organisation, hence movement to new offices just outside Polokwane at the this physical address, Southern Gateway Ext 4, N1 Main Road, just opposite to Meropa Casino.
