Limpopo Tourism and Parks hosts Potjiekos Competition

Phalaborwa-Limpopo Wildlife Resorts (LWR), a business wing of Limpopo Tourism and Parks (LTP), hosted a Potjiekos Competition on Saturday the 11th June 2011 at Shonalanga Wildlife Resort just outside Phalaborwa. In total, 23 teams entered for the competition and each team comprised four members. There had to be a winner at the end of the day and Crane Tech were announced the winners of the competition. Shonalanga Wildlife Resort, located just at the banks of the Olifants River, gives one a perfect view of wild game due to the resort’s proximity to the Kruger National Park.

Dash for Cash fishing competition

Dash For CashTzaneen-On the 17th June 2011, the CEO of Limpopo Tourism and Parks, Mr. Rob Tooley officiated during the official opening of the annual Letaba Dash for Cash Fishing Competition to be held at Tzaneen Dam. Tooley acknowledged the importance of the competition and wished all the participants well in the competition to be held over the next two days, the 18th and 19th June 2011. “We, as Limpopo Tourism and Parks, through our commercial wing, Limpopo Wildlife Resorts (LWR), have sponsored the competition with R40 000 to create awareness to the general public about our facility, Tzaneen Dam, as a place to visit for leisure and sport”, emphasized Tooley.
