Limpopo Tourism Agency to Host Yet Another Wildlife Mahala Week

Sep 16, 2014
Limpopo Tourism Agency’s commercial wing Limpopo Wildlife Resort is to host yet another Wildlife Mahala Week from the 15th -19th September 2014 from 6H00 to 18H00. The Acting CEO of LTA, Ms. Seipati Tlaka said: “This forms part of our tourism month festivities and Domestic Tourism Marketing Strategy whereby we urge our people to travel within their own areas.”

The Wildlife Mahala Week is hosted as a result of the various consultative stakeholder relations events that we hosted throughout the Province and standing Co-Management Agreement meeting with communities that have agreement with LTA, in which concerns were raised that communities around Limpopo Wildlife Resorts and Limpopo Provincial Reserves, in general, are not fully knowledgeable about what these facilities offer.

“It’s our view as LTA that by hosting the Wildlife Mahala week, we will not only be exposing citizens and locals to what Provincial Reserves have to offer but, we will also be building brand ambassadors and instilling a culture of travel within our own people”, said Ms. Tlaka Acting.

Anyone with a green bar-coded Identity document can visit the following Resorts from 15th – 19th September 2014, from 6H00 to 18H00. The public is also encouraged to share their experience with the Agency via its social media handle @golimpopo on twitter and Facebook page : Limpopo Tourism.

NB: Access to the Resorts is free however all other activities are paid for e.g. Accommodation, Game drive, etc.
