Ms. Mmabogoshi Msiza of Limpopo Guest Manor was announced as the National ETEYA (Emerging Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year Award) winner for 2015/16 scooping the R 100 000.00 prize money as the overall winner, her product also scooped the inaugural MEC's Choice Award during the Provincial leg of the Awards ceremony which was held on the 3rd September 2014 in Phalaborwa.

The even was hosted at the Lyric Theater at Golf Reef City in Gauteng Province; it was attended by Provincial winners from all Provinces, stakeholders and Industry leaders. MEC for LEDET Mr. Seaparo Sekoati lead the Limpopo delegation to the Awards ceremony along with other senior government officials from LEDET and LTA to give moral support and courage to the participating tourism products.

After the Awards ceremony the MEC was quoted as saying that "the scooping of these Awards by the three (3) tourism products gets to show that we as Limpopeans still have the winning prowess to contest and win such highly contested National Competitions, they have done us proud and we encourage others to follow in their footsteps and do better"

LTA Acting CEO Ms. Seipati Tlaka said "the winning of these Awards gets to show the quality of the Tourism Products we have in the Province, this will indeed go a long way into putting our Province on the tourism map and bring in the numbers. The amount of exposure these products and our Province received from participating in the Awards is indeterminate".

The Awards ceremony comes on the backdrop of yet another successful Speed Marketing Workshop that we recently hosted at Meropa Sun International with 14 In-bound tour operators from Kwa-Zulu Natal, Gauteng and Western Cape. The Workshop was hosted in partnership with South Africa Tourism and SATSA.
