Update on Kruger road and camp closures

Following heavy rains at Kruger National Park, SANParks has advised that no camps have been damaged but that certain bush and trail camps have been closed as a precautionary measure. More heavy rains are expected from Wednesday.

The following bush camps will remain closed for precautionary measures until Monday, March 17: Talamati, Biyamiti, Balule, Sirheni, Bateleur and Shimuwini. The following Trails camps will remain closed until Monday, March 24: Wolhuter, Boesman and Olifants. The Shishangeni Concession has been closed.

The following roads are open: H1-1 from Skukuza to Pretoriuskop, S60 between Punda Maria and Pafuri,      H14 between Mopani and Phalaborwa,    and H1-2 between Skukuza and Tshokwane. However the Sand River low-level bridge between Skukuza and Tshokwane is inaccessible and all gravel roads in the Marula region are still closed.

The Crocodile Bridge Gate is still closed and is expected to be closed for the rest of the week.

Water levels have dropped in the Limpopo, Letaba, Levuvhu and Crocodile rivers and the Tshokwane picnic spot is now open.
