SATSA unveils member-driven website

May 30, 2014

SATSA has launched a new member-driven website as part of celebrating 44 years of service to the inbound tourism industry.

The new website will feature a fully searchable comprehensive member listing that is GPS map-linked. The listing is aimed at facilitating inbound tourist arrivals into the southern Africa region.

Developed over the past few months, the new website will only provide a complete listing of credible tourism partners and will also act as an information repository for both inbound tour operators in search of tourism services and products as well as travellers looking for their next holiday.

For larger businesses, the website will be a distinctive confirmation of their credible status, while smaller businesses that may not have their own website to direct their clients to, will be able to use their SATSA microsite to market their products and services to potential buyers.

Each member will be able to own and maintain their profile, being given the opportunity to upload a description of their business, its features and activities as well as full contact details, social media platform links and specials.

“We’re hoping that in time we will be able to align our own website closely with that of South African Tourism’s,” says CEO of SATSA David Frost. “By feeding through updated and relevant information on our members and their specials to South African Tourism, we see opportunity for private- and public-sector collaboration to further the end goal of boosting both international arrivals and domestic tourism numbers.”

Features of the new website include:
Improved functionality and information
A comprehensive and fully searchable membership directory
Listed specials from members
Full profiles of each member and the services they offer
A news and events section to keep up to date with industry news
Contact details for all the SATSA provincial chapters
